WAHM Salary Poll Results

Last week I posted a poll asking our readers about their current monthly salary as a work at home mom and I have to admit that I was kind of surprised by the results.

Within the past 7 days, ninety-two work at home moms responded to our survey, Work At Home Moms: What Is Your Monthly Salary?

Nearly half of all moms that answered our questionnaire make less than $500 per month. Since so many Moms fell into that category I am now wondering whether most of these moms work part time from home. Are they bloggers? Direct Sales? Affiliate Marketers? Etc? Do they work for a company part time? Or are they simply underpaid for what they do?

Anyway, these are questions I hope to get answers to in the upcoming weeks and months. I may make this a part of a regular series of polls here at HomeJobsForMoms.biz Would you be interested?

What I am most interested in now after seeing the results, is what work at home job each of these moms have and/or what category do they fall into? Additionally, I think it's important to find out whether these are new work at home moms just starting out who answered our poll or are these full time work at home moms?

Another result worth noting is that 21.7 % of the moms polled made MORE than $2,000 per month. And, we also got a few people telling us that these numbers were too low. It would be nice to get an idea on what the majority of these work at home moms are doing so that those making less than $500 per month can get an idea of how to get to that point. Should they focus on finding a high paying work at home job or should they focus on building a solid home business?

And now on to the official results:

I also wanted to give some of those who completed the survey some linky love! Thanks! Here ya go!

Thanks for the Link Love! :)

To answer a few of your questions... I work at home full time and a half, LOL, as a web designer.

I work full time for a company (I had been working for them several years before moving, and turning it into a telecommuting arrangement). I also run my own business, iDesign Studios, part-time.

All-in-all, I'm looking at about 60 hours a week (plus an almost 3 year old, LOL - luckily my husband and I have a pretty good schedule worked out with our jobs, where we don't have to pay for daycare).

Very stressful, but you gotta do what you gotta do to keep food on the table ;)
