Savvy Source, the internet's #1 preschool education site, is looking to hire parent bloggers ASAP(!) as City Editors who share enriching and educational things to do with kids in the following cities:

NYC (includes Brooklyn, Manhattan, Westchester County)
Pasadena, CA
Orange County, CA
Portland, OR
Charlotte, NC
Jacksonville, FL
Tampa, FL
El Paso, TX
Oklahoma City, OK
Ottawa, CANADA
Montreal, CANADA

The blogs all have their own URL and you will have your own by-line. Savvy Source has a monthly editorial calendar to guide your writing. There is also a "national or main blog" with broader educational topics--to which bloggers will also contribute an additional 5-10 posts a month. The site gets incredible traffic which you will benefit from as you will be able to link your personal blogs from your city blog. There are also lots of opportunities for cross promotion with local media in your cities and we have a crack PR team to support you.

Reqs:

* Three posts a week about 300-400w each (can be tee-ed up ahead of time) please consider carefully whether you can commit to this. These post are about your city.
* 5ish posts a month can be national in nature (book/toy reviews, commentary on a new study, write-up from a preschool director that can be used nationally, etc.)
*pay is $10/post for first 60 days until ads and revenue sharing incentives are in place (there are plenty of other perks and ways to make additional income)
* Minimum of 5 posts a month should find a way to link back to Savvy Source in some way (preschool reviews, activities, etc.)
* Guest posts from preschool directors, camp directors, music teachers, etc. are welcome (best of all YOU will get compensated for having recruited high quality content)
* All posts must be fully tagged to count for compensation (by age, learning skill (if relevant), area, etc.)--this is already set up for you, you just tick off some check boxes
* Tuesday is list day for all blogs in all geographies (top five things to do on a rainy day, five best restaurants with kids, etc.)
