Want To Be A Pro Blogger? 5 Best Blogging Centric Blogs You Should Read

I get asked these questions frequently. How do I get started in blogging? How do I make money with blogging? How do I become a pro blogger from my home?

It’s a new year! The time to start a blog is now.

I started blogging way before blogging was considered cool back in 2003. Yes, almost 8 years ago. ;) Luckily, within two years, blogging turned into a full time business for me. During that time I’ve started and stopped several blogs, I’ve made mistakes, and I’ve learned a lot. In fact, I’m still learning every day!

By now most people are familiar with the term blog and have a general idea of what a blog is. Hello, it is 2011 already. ;)   However, what you may not know is how to get started with your own blog and how to turn it into a business. Back several years ago I did write a very simple post on How To Start A blog that you may want to read. But first before anything else you need to ask yourself, “Am I passionate enough about 1 subject to talk about it over and over on a blog? Am I extremely knowledgeable in 1 subject and if not, am I willing to devote time to become an expert in that subject?

I will also caution you to keep in mind blogging is not for everyone and most blogs will fail. If it doesn’t fail, it is likely that the blogger will give up on the blog before it reaches it’s full potential. I hate to be uninspiring but that’s reality. If you don’t want to fall into this trap and you really are serious then your best bet is to follow the advice of the top bloggers out there.

Fortunately, I’m going to share with you the top five best blogging-centric blogs (IMO) to help you get started – and succeed with your own blog. These five sites are great resources to go to for help and answer just about any question you have about starting your own business in blogging. Rather than just going to their site and being inundated with post after post that you may not yet understand, I’m going to link to specific posts that I believe will be helpful to you in your start up. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them in the comments or on our facebook fan page.

  2. I have been working in education for the past fifteen years, and currently am in administration. I would like to become a blogger in the field of education, and would like some more information on where I can get started with this? There are so many parents who have so many questions, I think I could provide valuable insight to help with their child’s educational needs.
    Thanks.

@Norman If I come across a job like this I will post it. At this time you may want to think about starting your own blog on this subject to help others. Best of luck.
