Thoughts On Starting A New Business + Focus
Wow. I know we all say it but it’s hard to believe it’s 2012 already. Did you know that I’ve been compiling these job listings here now for almost 7 years? I’m so thankful that at this time in my life I have the opportunity to do this and to have you all as readers. I continue to hope that this is YOUR year to prosper and be able to live your dream of working from home too! Happy 2012.
I’d like to share with you My Recap of 2011 – and a little thought on starting new businesses. I think it’s wonderful to start new businesses or a new job but I also think it’s important to always stay focused on why you are doing it in the first place. Yes, we all need money to live but we don’t live to make money. For me personally, my boys come first. They will always be my priority. I’m glad 2011 was what it was if only to serve as a reminder to me to not let work overtake my life, to stay focused on what works for me and my family, and work smarter NOT harder.
* I’d also like to mention that I’ve revived my old personal blog and this year I’m doing the 365 Photo Challenge – which means I’m going to be sharing one photo every single day this year or at least honestly try my best to. Will you stop by and see what I’m sharing?

Tax Refunds To Help Home Business
Right about now, or sometimes soon, many of you are getting refund checks from Uncle Sam. Since this money is usually unexpected and not put into your budget, you should think about investing some of it into your home business this year. Your tax refund can really help your home business in several ways. Here is a list of possible ways that you could spend some of your tax refund to help grow or improve your home business. You could even use some of it to start a new home business.
Ways Your Tax Refund Can Help Your Home Business:
1. Join a professional membership club such as Mom Masterminds,Mom Masterminds Main Page
2. Upgrade your newsletter/autoresponder programs. If you are using a free service, you are limited to the amount of emails you can send out as well as members you can have. Paying for a service can really help your online home business in the long run. Believe me, I’m proof of this. I signed up for wahmcart a few months ago and it’s been nothing but great for my online business.
3. Buy your own domain name and hosting. Domain names and monthly hosting is fairly cheap. You can get a great deal from godaddy.com. With your own domain name and hosting, your business will be taken much more seriously. This means more money for you.
4. If you are getting behind on your work, hire a virtual assistant for a few hours per month with some of your tax refund money. This will help you focus on the more important parts of your business.
5. Use some of the money for a mini vacation for yourself. A small vacation and me time can really do wonders for yourself and your business. After your break, you will be much more focused and ready to get some work done.
Feel free to add some of your own tips in the comments section. I’d love to hear how you will use your tax refund to help your business.
