Home Jobs Idea: Portrait Photographer

Portrait Photographer Job Description:

If you are good with a camera, photo editing software, and people (especially kids and babies) then working at home as a portrait photographer may be a great career choice for you. The great thing about being a portrait photographer is that you really can do the job from home and you can set your own hours. You don’t need a fancy office space or studio. All you need is a simple space, good lighting, a good dslr camera,  and an artistic eye to get you going!

As a portrait photographer you will take pictures of people. You will be responsible for photographing and capturing the personalities of newborn babies, kids milestones, high school seniors, pregnant women, and families among others. You could also photograph sports teams, businesses, and so much more!

Do I Need A Degree To Work From Home?

Oftentimes, being in the “work at home field” I am asked by friends and work- at-home-hopefuls if a college degree is required to be able to work from home. In short, no a degree is not REQUIRED.

So a degree certainly isn’t required for some of the jobs but having a degree plus experience can  help you land a job over someone who does not have a degree especially in the telecommuting job market. I won’t lie – this work from home job market is quite competitive so you need some edge just to land one of the lower paying telecommuting jobs. However, it doesn’t mean that edge has to be a college education. It could be experience in the field you are applying to or an awesome resume/interview.  Speaking  of resumes, here are some great Online Job Application Tips.
