Are you looking for ways to make extra money from home? If you answered YES then these five mom-tested money-making ideas is a great place to start.

1. Sell On Ebay. Have junk or excess stuff lying around that you know someone else could use? You can make money by selling it on Ebay. Items that sell well are gently used clothing, books, toys, various antiques, current electronics, and trendy items. I'm sure everyone has at least a few of these things lying around not being used. Selling on Ebay is a great not to mention VERY QUICK way to get some extra cash.

2. Sell On Etsy. Are you a crafty person? Do you enjoy making things? If you do then I highly recommend you check out Etsy.com, a site where you can sell your handmade products.

3. Become A Virtual Assistant. A virtual assistant is someone who performs data entry, customer service, call center, and secretarial-type work. Many companies hire often for virtual assistant type jobs. Here are a few of those companies - Live Ops, Alpine Access, Arise Virtual Solutions, & VIPDesk.

4. Freelance Writing/Blogging. Great writing is what makes the Internet go around so these types of jobs are plentiful. The drawback - you really do have to be an excellent writer and need writing experience since so many people apply for these types of jobs. 5. Medical Transcription. A medical transcriptionist is a health-related position where the MT transcribes voice recordings by doctors and other health professionals. To do this job from home you will need an MT degree or have MT experience as well as the equipment for medical transcription. There are many full time positions available to do from home. A great place to start is MTDaily.com - which has been online since 1995.
