Chances are that by now you have heard of Twitter. It's one of the fastest growing social networks out there and I have to say that I love it. What can I say, I'm seriously addicted to it. On Twitter I share personal stuff, random thoughts, blog posts, contests, and other links I like. But there is so much more. Yes, even REAL job leads.

Anyway, the reason I brought up Twitter here on Home Jobs For Moms is that there is a new way to search for at home jobs and it's called TwitterJobSearch. TwitterJobSearch.com is a cool new website which is basically a job search engine for Twitter. They don't just list work at home jobs so you will have to know what you are looking for or browse the categories listed to find what you are interested in. I looked up freelance writing/blogging jobs since that is what I'm most interested in and I got quite a few relevant and current job leads.

I get several emails from many moms and dads wanting to work from home. Several of you ask me ,"Where can I find free online jobs?" so I'm going to answer that question here today for everyone even though I've answered it many times via email before because I think this is a great topic that everyone can benefit from.

My Answer To "How To find Free Online Jobs?"

My answer is simple. All real home or telecommuting jobs are free. No one should ever PAY for information about a job or to apply for a job. It is absurd for someone to charge you to apply for their job. Doesn't paying for information about a job sound absurd to you? If it doesn't then you've obviously been reading the wrong information and I'm so glad that you've come across Jobs For Stay At Home Moms so that we can give you the real information about working from home. When a job ad or website asks for money that alone should be a sign to you that this so-called job is a scam.

When you are searching for a job to do from home (also known as a telecommuting job) you should search for a home job the exact same way you search for a job in your town or city. You treat it like you would treat any job search. You need to do online research, you need to truly be qualified for the job, you need an excellent resume, and you need to be persistent. I will be honest and say that finding a true telecommuting job can take you some time so please be prepared for that.

A reader emailed me recently wanting to know about "rebate processing" jobs after she had seen an advertisement for this type of job online.

Simply put, YES, rebate processing jobs are a scam because they are not being honest in how this program works. Sure, you may make a few dollars but it is not a real job.

I don't care what else you hear about these kinds of jobs, if you have to pay for "maintenance or referral fees" or even "registration/material fees" then you are getting scammed. REAL work at home jobs will not require you to pay for anything up front EVER except in the case of medical transcription or for equipment like headphones,etc., for a few jobs out there. When an advertisement for a job sounds too easy and too good to be true, it usually is.

Overall, I'd like to stress to Moms, Dads, and other readers here looking to work from home to please do not ever pay any fees to apply for a job or to get more information about a job. This is the first indication that something is not legit. Real employers looking for employees will not ask you for any money ever.

HBO is seeking a Freelance Web Producer to work on Bill Maher's "Overtime". Essentially, the Producer will be responsible for posting segments of the show online. Must have experience working with a CMS tool. The person will be based remotely. Ideal for a Web Producer who wants to work from home 1 day week and make extra cash.



Responsibilities:

* Manage weekly live event from pre-to post-production.
* Set up, QA, and launch discussion board thread and web pages through Interwoven CMS.
* Monitor and QA web stream during live feed.
* QA encoded video clip.
* Launch encoded video clip to HBO player according to HBO specs and processes.
* Liaise with HBO Legal, Real Time production staff, HBO Hauppauge, IT, and HBO.com staff to troubleshoot technical problems and ensure proper communicate to the entire team.

When I tell other Moms that I work from home many of them wonder what kind of at home jobs are available as well as whether they are real or not. There are quite a few jobs that you can do from home and this is an update that I did to a home job list I posted here a few months back.

I'm going to tell you five things you need to do to start working at home today. Even though you may start working from home today, that doesn't necessarily mean you will make money today. But, in time, you will begin to make money. Being a work at home mom takes patience.

Five Things You Can Do Today To Start Working From Home With Information Websites

1.) Come up with a business idea and do your research. Make sure there is a need for your information.
2.) Buy a domain name & hosting. You can start a home business for less than $10.00
3.) Start building your website
4.) Finish your website
5.) Upload your site to the Internet and start submitting your site to search engines

The possibilities are endless when creating information websites. You can write about anything and make all of your money from advertising.

If you are not interested in creating information websites then there are several easy to start work at home businesses. I will highlight five of them right here today.

1.) Sell stuff on Ebay. One of the easiest ways to make extra money is to sell your old stuff on ebay or sell your crafts on ebay.
2.) Start a ghostwriting business. If you are a good writer, you can make extra money by writing articles for other people.

3.) Start a home daycare business. There are many families looking for good affordable daycares for their children. This would be a great way to make some extra money.
4.) Start a technology service business. Do you know how to do programming? Maybe you can install message boards or do other things online? There is money in this type of online business.
