Oftentimes, being in the “work at home field” I am asked by friends and work- at-home-hopefuls if a college degree is required to be able to work from home. In short, no a degree is not REQUIRED.
So a degree certainly isn’t required for some of the jobs but having a degree plus experience can help you land a job over someone who does not have a degree especially in the telecommuting job market. I won’t lie – this work from home job market is quite competitive so you need some edge just to land one of the lower paying telecommuting jobs. However, it doesn’t mean that edge has to be a college education. It could be experience in the field you are applying to or an awesome resume/interview.
