I started working at home in December of 2001

Are you making money?
Well, I'm not exactly make a "six figure income" but, I am definitely making extra spending money. In the past year I've found that I've even become more of a provider for my family and have been paying more and more bills every month.

What is your advice to other moms wanting to work from home?
My words for those who wish to work at home to get up and do it. To those who already do to NEVER get discouraged, keep plugging, success WILL follow! Think Big ... Dream Big ... Be HUGE!

What is the best thing about being a WAHM?
THE best thing? Well, that's not an easy question with just one answer. I guess the first best thing would be the fact that I'm able to be with my children whenever they need me. The next is that I am in charge of my life. I'm in charge of when I work and how much work I do. More importantly I'm in charge of my financial future.

Below are five tips that will help work at home moms or WAHMS increase their Google Adsense Revenue that in turn will allow them to help their family which is the whole reason behind being a work at home mom.

Tip #1: The first tip I suggest is to make your ad not look like an ad. To accomplish this, you need to take away the borders and the background colors and blend your ads into the page.

Tip #2: Make sure the appropriate content and keywords are on the page so that Google Adsense can server your page relevant ads. If someone comes to your page but doesn’t see relevant ads they are not likely to click on them because the content is not useful to them.

Tip #3: Place Your ad above the fold. What I mean by this is to place Google Adsense code near the top of the page so that your ads will be seen by more of your visitors thus they are more likely to click on an ad if it is interesting to them.

Tip #4: Get more traffic to your site. The more traffic you have to your site the more people will click on your ads. It’s that simple.

Tip #5: Content is very important. Good original content is even better. You need good content combined with keyword research to make a decent living with Google adsense. The better the content, the better the ads will be served to your pages.

Lastly, never stop adding pages to your site. The more pages you have the more chances of revenue you will have.

What is your advice to other moms wanting to work from home?

1. Be realistic. Just because you work from home does not mean it will be easy. Although I set my own schedule, I find that I do work just as hard as I did when I worked out of the home.

2. Don't be narrow minded--forget tunnel vision! Challenge yourself to think outside the box. Observe how brick and mortar businesses with similar products advertise to their target market, conform it to fit yours.

3. Have a business plan. Know what your goals are and set dates to accomplish them. Have your husband, family member, or your upline hold you accountable to those goals.

4. Create a budget. Allot yourself X amount of dollars per month for business supplies. Many new WAHM's give away the farm when they first start! Talk with your upline and figure out what a realistic budget should look like.

5. Make time for your family. That is the whole reason you wanted to stay home, right? New WAHM's find themselves engrossed in their new business; always working it, on the computer, on the phone. Set business hours and make time for your family.

What is the best thing about being a WAHM?
Finally having a job that I love. Being able to put up my "closed" sign whenever I like and play with my kids. The comradarie (sp?) of other WAHM's.
